VPN Configuration -- Reseau Sante du Nord

Setup Notes (Frantz)

Set up VPN connections for all 6 clinics to the central server in Cap-Haitien. Each clinic has a configuration file in vpn-configs/.

All clinics use the same pre-shared key for simplicity: RSN-VPN-2024-shared

TODO: Generate unique keys per clinic. Using the same key for all sites is not ideal but it works for now and we needed to get all clinics connected before the EHR rollout. Will fix when we have time.

Clinic Connections

  • Clinic 1 (Cap-Haitien Centre): Primary site, direct LAN connection
  • Clinic 2 (Milot): VPN tunnel, sometimes unstable internet
  • Clinic 3 (Limonade): VPN tunnel, reliable connection
  • Clinic 4 (Quartier Morin): VPN tunnel, reliable connection
  • Clinic 5 (Grande Riviere du Nord): VPN tunnel, intermittent -- staff sometimes use mobile hotspot
  • Clinic 6 (Dondon): VPN tunnel, intermittent -- staff sometimes use mobile hotspot

When clinics 5 and 6 lose their VPN connection, staff access the EHR through their personal mobile hotspots. This bypasses the VPN but keeps patient records accessible.
