Dashboard Layout Guide: Bona Lluna Weekly Performance
Above the Fold -- KPI Cards
Place 3-4 KPI number cards at the top of the dashboard. These are the first things Carmen sees every Monday morning.
- Total Revenue (EUR) for the selected period
- Total Volume (liters) for the selected period
- Order Count for the selected period
- Optional: Revenue Change vs previous period (percentage)
Use large, bold numbers. Each KPI card should show the metric name and value clearly without requiring explanation.
Trend Section
Below the KPIs, place a line chart showing monthly revenue over the 12-month period. This answers "what's the overall direction?"
If year-over-year comparison is added: overlay the previous year as a dashed or lighter line on the same chart.
Breakdown Section
Below the trend, place two bar charts side by side:
- Revenue by Channel (taproom, distribution, online) -- answers "where does our money come from?"
- Revenue by Beer Style (top styles) -- answers "what's selling?"
Detail Section
At the bottom, place a cross-tabulation table: channel x beer style, showing revenue. This is the drill-down for when Carmen wants specifics.
Filters
Place filter dropdowns at the top of the dashboard, above the KPI cards:
- Date Range -- default to last 4 weeks
- Channel -- all, taproom, distribution, online
- Beer Style -- all, or select individual styles
Consistency Rule
Every panel on this dashboard must use the same SQL revenue definition. If the KPI card says total revenue is 150,000 EUR, the sum of the three channels in the breakdown chart must also be 150,000 EUR. Test this after building every panel.
